Located at 4121 Main at North Hills St Suite 105, Raleigh, NC 27609, bartaco operates as a mexican restaurant serving Raleigh in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Stopped by on a hot afternoon after seeing a movie on a Saturday. It was about 3PM but there was a 15-20 minute waiting list to get a table. Maybe a little less if you wanted to sit outside but it was too hot for most people to do that. Bartaco has a large selection of tacos and other mexican street food. My friends highly recommended the baja fish and the duck tacos, so I joined them in ordering a few. 3-4 was their recommendation for a full meal (I went 2 fish, 1 duck) along with some chips and plantain appetizers. The plantains come with a nice creamy sauce which compliment the sweetness. My friend likes to save the sauce to add to her fish tacos so pro-tip. The portion is relatively small so we had 2 orders for 3 people. The chips are large (like a fried taco shell), somewhat salty, and fairly good. Ours came with guac and 2 types of salsa - one green and one red . Both were pretty americanized, not too spicy, but good. The fish tacos are fried and come on top of some cole slaw. The fish was delicious and crispy, to where I'd consider ordering them separately as fish and chips if they offered that. The duck wasn't bad and a little bit more oily than chicken.

Sat at the Bar with my husband today and Kennedy was our server โ she was freaking awesome! Greeted us with great vibes, checked in on us and made sure we were doing good! The tacos were amazing as usual, but I tried the pork belly taco today and OMGโฆ. LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST TACO EVER! Fresh margaritas?! Sold! So refreshing and tasty. We will be coming back here every month!

The service was great, as was the food. It's a very loud place however. Get on the wait-list online and you will get seated more quickly. They have loads of gluten free and dairy free options. The Brussels sprout and the pork belly tacos were divine, as was the salsa verde.

Fun, casual atmosphere, terrific, friendly service and amazing tacos. This was our first visit to bartaco and we were very pleased with our lunch experience. We started with the chips, salsa and guac. We decided on tacos and had the baja fish, cauliflower, yucatan shrimp and ahi tuna tatako. Each of the tacos brought a unique experience, all were great, but the fish taco was a favorite. We also had an order of the plantains and would get them again. Overall very nice dining experience and we will certainly return for dinner so we can sample some of the speciality cocktails.

Absolutely amazing ๐ service and dining experience. ๐ฏ Even while possibly being short-staffed for the enormous volume of customers (because, duh ๐โโ๏ธ who wouldn't wanna dine and drink here?) Service was quick, courteous and efficient. Lovely atmosphere and good vibe and music. Shoutout to Harrison - whom was tending at the bar super Sonic speed and checking in on how the food/drinks were for everyone, bussing, refilling waters, and making nice conversation when he could. You can tell that management cares about the establishment and their staff - so, i highly recommend you visit and keep this lovely place in business at North Hills!!
